COLUMBUS, Ohio -- After three consecutive games at home, the Ohio Dominican men's basketball team heads back out on the road for a pair of Great Midwest Athletic Conference games at No. 15/14 Hillsdale and Findlay.
The Panthers open the stretch with a 7:30 p.m. tip at nationally ranked Hillsdale on Thursday, Dec. 9. ODU will then travel from Michigan to Ohio to face Findlay at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11.
OPENING TIP-OFF
- Ohio Dominican continues its Great Midwest slate with its final two conference games prior to the New Year.
- ODU is coming off home losses to Ashland and Tiffin during the opening weekend of G-MAC play.
- Alek West returned to the lineup last week and leads ODU in points (13.6), rebounds (4.9) and assists (4.7) per game.
- Sean Marks averaged 11.0 points per game against Ashland and Tiffin and has scored in double figures in seven consecutive outings entering play this week. Marks is second on the team with a scoring average of 12.1 points per game, and leads ODU with 14 triples.
- Zach Szul has scored 13-plus points on five occasions this season, including last time out against Tiffin. Szul is averaging 10.3 points and 3.3 assists per game.
- With three steals against Ashland, Marcus Johnson has multiple swipes in three of his first seven career games played. Johnson is top five in the G-MAC with 1.6 steals per game, while also contributing 7.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per outing.
- Max Stepaniak has assumed a starting role as ODU's "big man" and is averaging 8.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Stepaniak is also among G-MAC leaders with eight blocked shots.
