COLUMBUS, Ohio - With a great 2024-25 season on the court, redshirt junior center Elijah Hinton was voted Second Team All-Conference of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference as the All-Conference Teams and Season Awards were released on Thursday (March 6).
In conjunction with the G-MAC Final Four taking place later this weekend, the G-MAC announced the All-Conference teams and regular season awards - as voted on by the head coaches of the league.
Hinton led the Panthers with 15.3 points per game with a team-high .525 field goal %. The Newark, Ohio native averaged 7.0 rebounds per game (2nd most on the team) but led with a total of 195 rebounds.
Among the G-MAC, Hinton was ranked in the top ten in the following categories.
- 2nd - Field Goals Made (179) and Field Goal % (.525)
- 6th - Points Per Game (15.3)
- 7th - Rebounds Per Game (7.0) and Defensive Rebounds Per Game (5.3)
- T-9th - Offensive Rebounds Per Game (1.7)
In 28 games, Hinton scored at least ten points in 21 games with nine games of at least 20 points. He had two contests with the 30 point threshold this season, scoring 31 points against Tiffin in January and 30 against Walsh in February. He had five games with double-digit rebounds - all resulting in double-doubles. Hinton led the team in scoring for 14 games while pacing the rebound category in nine games.
In his first season on the court in Columbus, Hinton's performance slotted in the top ten for a number of categories among the Division II era for Ohio Dominican.
