The Ohio Dominican men's tennis completed a weekend sweep in their Northeastern Ohio swing, defeating Lake Erie 9-0.
Doubles play gave the Panthers an early lead as they took all three courts. Patrick Ohanian (Jr./Hudson, OH) and Jeremy Mokry (Sr./Hilliard, OH) cruised on court two, winning 8-0. Tyler Johnston (Sr./Wilmington, OH) and Gerardo Perez (Jr./Mexico City, Mexico) finished soon after, winning 8-1 on court three. Richie Kruunenberg (Fr./Nieuw-Vennep, Holland) and Justin Tjon (So./Wilemstad, Curacao) stretched their lead early in their match, completing the doubles sweep, winning 8-2 at #1.
ODU continued their strong play in singles, winning all six courts in straight sets. Mokry gave the Panthers their fourth point, winning 6-0, 6-0 on court four. Kruunenberg and Tjon earned wins at #1 and #2 singles, each winning 6-0, 6-0. Perez dominated on court six, winning 6-1, 6-0; while Johnston turned in a strong performance at court three, taking the match 6-3, 6-0. Ohanian completed the singles sweep for the Panthers winning on court five, 6-1, 6-4.
