The Panthers cut the lead to five, 15-10 at the 14:50 mark but Seton Hill used a 14-10 run to take a 29-20 lead by the under-12 media timeout (9:33). ODU got within five once again at the 8:37 mark on back-to-back layups from Kellum.

The Seton Hill defense kept the pressure on and the Panthers tried to keep the game close, but ultimately, the 12-point deficit would prove too much for ODU to overcome.
