Goodman and Hinton Named First Team All-Conference

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The 2025-26 All-Conference Teams and Season Awards were released on Friday (March 6) as Ohio Dominican had two players make the cut as First Team All-Conference. In conjunction with the G-MAC Final Four taking place this weekend, the G-MAC announced the All-Conference teams and regular season awards - as voted on by the head coaches of the league. 

Sophomore Derek Goodman and redshirt senior Elijah Hinton were voted First Team All-Conference. Goodman earned his first career honor while Hinton got his second after a Second Team nod a year ago. 

DEREK GOODMAN

Goodman led the Panthers with 15.8 points per game with a team-high .436 three point field goal %. He averaged 3.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game through 29 games. Goodman was ODU's three point sharpshooter with a team-best 75 threes. 

Among the G-MAC, Goodman was ranked in the top ten in the following categories.

  • T-1st - Three Pointers Made Per Game (2.6)
  • 2nd - Three Point % (.436), Three Pointers Made (75)
  • 5th - Field Goals Made (173)
  • 6th - Points Per Game (15.8), Points (459)
  • 9th - Field Goal % (.494)

In 29 games, Goodman scored at least ten points in 23 games with eight games of at least 20 points (T-4th in the G-MAC). Over the course of the season, Goodman had two games of 25 points for his season-best (at Findlay and vs. Hillsdale). Goodman led the team in scoring for 13 games and had 13 games with at least three three pointers in a game.

Goodman ranked in the top ten for a number of categories among the Division II era for Ohio Dominican for the 2025-26 season.

ELIJAH HINTON

Hinton averaged 14.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game through 27 games. He was the team leader in rebounding and field goal % (.557) while he was 2nd in scoring.

Hinton was ranked in the top ten in the following categories for the Great Midwest.

  • T-5th - Rebounds Per Game (6.8), Defensive Rebounds Per Game (4.9)
  • 6th - Field Goal % (.557)
  • T-7th - Offensive Rebounds Per Game (1.9)
  • 7th - Rebounds (183)
  • T-8th - Points Per Game (14.9)
  • 9th - Points (402)
  • 10th - Field Goals (152)

Hinton reached double-digits in 21 games with six games of at least 20 points and one 31-point game. With five games of at least ten rebounds, Hinton managed five double-doubles (T-3rd in the G-MAC). He led the team in scoring ten times and rebounding 12 times. His season-highs were 31 points against Kentucky Christian and 16 rebounds at Ashland.
