COLUMBUS, Ohio - Junior pole vaulter
Peyton Proffitt is returning to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships but this time as an ODU student-athlete. As announced on Tuesday (May 13) afternoon, Proffitt will represent Ohio Dominican University in Pueblo, Colorado next week.
For the first time ever, the Panthers will send a female student-athlete to the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships while Proffitt is the third Panther to qualify for nationals. Justin Carroll (Outdoor 2018) and
Cole Miller (Indoor 2024) are the first two from Ohio Dominican to make it.
Proffitt was a four-time national qualifier in the pole vault between indoor and outdoor track & field at Otterbein. She earned All-American honors all four times and will look for her fifth next week in Colorado.
The championships will be held May 22-24 in Pueblo, Colorado at the CSU Pueblo Thunderbowl. Colorado State University Pueblo will serve as the host site. The women's pole vault will take place on Saturday, May 24th at 1:00 PM Eastern.
