Proffitt Sets Pole Vault Mark as Panthers Compete at Trio of Meets

GENEVA, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican Panthers indoor track and field team took home four top two finishes and saw one school record fall across three meets this weekend in Ohio. The Panthers sent one student-athlete to the Youngstown State Last Chance Invitational and the Ohio Wesleyan Open on Friday (Feb. 13) before the rest of the team competed at the SPIRE Indoor Collegiate Games on Saturday (Feb. 14).

  • Virtner Crews: 9th overall in the 60 meters at 7.02 seconds after running a 7.07 second time in prelims
  • Anna Blackstone: 11:48.27 in the 3000 meters for 16th place
  • Shyla Pemberton: 18th place for 400 meters with a 1:03.47; 27.01 seconds in the 200 meters for 19th place
  • Ismael Obas: 16th in the 200 meters with a 22.78 second time; 7.11 seconds in the 60 meter prelims (19th place)
  • Matthew Thomas: 22.82 seconds in the 200 meters for 17th place; 7.18 seconds in the 60 meter prelims (24th place)
  • Jon Chaney: 20th in the weight throw with a top mark of 11.63 meters
  • Naomi Haring: 1:09.03 in the 400 meters finishing 31st; 29.15 seconds in the 200 meters for 42nd place
  • Yagouba Barry: 52.55 seconds in the 400 meters in 31st place
  • Aileen Castillo: 6:13.67 time in the mile in 32nd place
  • Alyza Camp: 37th in the mile with a 6:37.42 time
  • Brandon Ammons: 38th in the shot put with a 9.97 meter mark
  • Giovanni Louprasong: 44th place in the 400 meters (54.00 seconds); 24.44 seconds for the 200 meters in 61st place
  • Grace Pitt: 2:57.05 in the 800 meters for 46th place
  • Abdou Jarju: 56.87 seconds for the 400 meters (57th place); 24.17 seconds for the 200 meters in 58th place
The team will prepare for the 2026 Great Midwest Indoor Track & Field Championships with another Ashland on Saturday (Feb. 21).
