COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican volleyball team starts their three game home stretch on Tuesday, Sept. 27 when they host Cedarville. They turn around and welcome Findlay on Friday and #22 Hillsdale on Saturday for Homecoming.
The Panthers are coming off of a 1-1 road week. ODU fell to conference newcomer Northwood last Friday (3-0) but bounced back and defeated Tiffin on Saturday (3-0). The Black and Gold sit at an overall mark of 6-10 with a 3-4 conference record.
Libero Alexis Keipert (Burlington, Ky.) collected 26 digs in the last two matches. At the net, Kamryn Maxwell (Norwalk, Ohio) tallied 16 kills. Fellow teammate Olivia Kirksey (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) added 15.
Freshman Saige Avery (Yorkville, Ill.) led the way with 34 assists through the two matches. Setter Gabrielle Kirker (Tallmadge, Ohio) followed with 22. The Panthers combined for 14 total service aces. Keipert accounted for four, Avery with four, and Kirker had three.
About Cedarville
The Jackets sit at 6-8 overall and 4-3 in the conference. Cassi Shields averages 2.83 kills per set. Setter Kaley Matney has a total of 498 assists on the season.
About Findlay
The Oilers have an overall record of 9-7 and remain undefeated in the conference at 6-0. Defensive specialist Ava Doster averages 3.92 digs per set this season. At the net, senior Emma Meyer has a total of 51 blocks.
About Hillsdale
The Chargers are 13-2 so far in their 2022 campaign, with an undefeated 6-0 record in the conference. Hillsdale leads the Nation in digs per set with 19.29. Marilyn Popplewell and Karoline Shelton lead the team with an average of 3.00 kills per set.
First serve is set for 7 PM on Tuesday. On Friday and Saturday, the matches are set for 6 PM from Alumni Hall.
