HAMMOND, IN - The Ohio Dominican volleyball team capped off their weekend at the Midwest Region Crossover tournament with another dominant performance, taking down the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds, 3–1, to extend their winning streak to nine straight matches.
Senior Jenna Peters led the Panthers with a double-double, posting 17 kills and 11 digs, while also adding two blocks at the net. Grace Zinchuk continued her strong weekend with 11 kills and a team-high five blocks. Lauren Dinunzi made her mark at the service line with five aces and contributed 10 digs in her libero role. Setter Saige Avery also notched a double-double, tallying 25 assists, 12 digs, and two aces.
Ohio Dominican led the match offensively, recording 60 kills to UIndy's 48 and outpacing the Greyhounds in aces, 10–3. The Panthers finished with a .252 hitting percentage over four sets.
The opening set featured back-and-forth play before ODU pulled away with a 22–13 lead, closing it out 25–19. UIndy responded in set two, jumping ahead 15–9 and holding off a late ODU push to even the match with a 25–21 win.
The Panthers regained control in the third, using a late seven-point rally to take command and finish 25–19. In the fourth, ODU jumped ahead early, 12–8, and sealed the victory with a strong late stretch, taking the set 25–19 and the match, 3–1.
