COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican Volleyball continue to travel with two matches on the road this weekend. The Panthers head north on Friday night to battle the Timberwolves of Northwood then travel back down to Tiffin to face the Dragons on Saturday afternoon.
First serve on Friday, Sept. 23 is set for 6 PM from Riepma Arena. The Black and Gold will head to Gillmor Center on Saturday, Sept. 24 and begin play at 2 PM from Tiffin, Ohio.
ODU sit at 5-9 overall with a 2-3 mark in the conference. After traveling south, Ohio Dominican returned to Sunbury Road with a 1-1 record, losing to Trevecca Nazarene (3-0) and rallying at Ky. Wesleyan to pull out a 3-1 win.
Senior Kamryn Maxwell (Norwalk, Ohio) is coming off of a stellar weekend where she collected 20 kills and 14 digs. Olivia Kirksey (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) and Ashley Aselage (Tipp City, Ohio) each put up impressive numbers over the last two matches. Kirksey tallied 18 kills and Aselage had 15.
Gabrielle Kirker (Tallmadge, Ohio) added 30 assists on the weekend. Her counterpart, Saige Avery (Yorkville, Ill.) registered 33 assists. Avery also recorded 11 digs at Ky. Wesleyan.
Defensive specialist Alexis Keipert (Burlington, Ky.) led the Panthers with 16 digs on the weekend. Junior Kelsey Shoup (Dalton, Ohio) led with six service aces.
About Northwood
The Timberwolves are currently 9-4 overall with a 4-0 record in the conference. Maya Ferland and Sydney Sweet lead the team with a .299 and .286 hitting percentage. Renee Brines averages 9.31 assists per set.
About Tiffin
The Dragons are 7-8 overall and 3-3 in the conference. Tiffin travels to Ashland before hosting the Panthers on Saturday. Diane Heitkamp averages 4.40 digs per set. Sophomore Clare Kwiatkowski averages 5.76 assists per set.
First serve is set for 6 PM on Friday from Midland, Mich. and 2 PM from Tiffin, Ohio on Saturday,
