COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican volleyball team heads to northeast Ohio to start their six game road stretch. They will face Lake Erie on Friday and Ursuline on Saturday.
The Panthers played host to the top two teams in the North on Friday and Saturday. They battled against the Oilers on Friday, losing the match 3-1. The next day, the Black and Gold went four sets with the nationally ranked chargers, falling 3-1.
Against Findlay, Olivia Kirksey (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) registered 17 kills and a career-high of 17 digs. Freshman Saige Avery (Yorkville, Ill.) gathered a career-high of 45 assists. In the Black and Gold, Lauren Lucas (Grove City, Ohio) grabbed her career-best of 13 kills.
Multiple players also recorded career-highs against Hillsdale. Libero Alexis Keipert (Burlington, Ky.) collected a career-high of 22 digs. Freshman Jenna Peters (Vermilion, Ohio) tallied 15 kills, followed by fellow freshman Ashley Aselage (Tipp City, Ohio) who notched 14.
About Lake Erie
The Storm are 2-14 with a 0-9 mark in the conference. Senior Dora Olah leads the team with 2.76 kills per set. Fellow senior Kaylee Hiser records 4.0 digs per set.
About Ursuline
The Arrows sit at 2-14 overall with a mark of 0-9 in the G-MAC. Maggie Bradley leads Ursuline with 7.61 assists per set. Emily Holton collects 3.22 digs per set.
First serve is set for Friday, Oct. 7 at 6 PM from the Osborne Center. On Saturday, the match will start at 1 PM from Pepper Pike, Ohio.
