COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Black and Gold continue to travel taking a short trip west to Cedarville University on Friday evening.
The Panthers were stung by the Yellow Jackets back on Tuesday, September 27 were Cedarville took a 3-0 win at Alumni Hall. ODU is currently 9-15 overall with a mark of 5-7 in conference play.
Junior Olivia Kirksey (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) recently recorded a career-high of 24 kills in their match against Parkside. Kirksey has notched nine double-doubles this season and was a member of the Midwest Regional Crossover All-Tournament Team this past weekend.
In the back row, defensive specialist Kelsey Shoup (Dalton, Ohio) collected her 1,000th career-dig on Saturday and became the 12th player in program history to do so. Shoup has recorded double-figure digs in 16 of the 24 matches played.
Freshman setter Gabrielle Kirker (Tallmadge, Ohio) tallied 83 assists over the course of the Midwest Regional Crossover, bringing her season total to 425. Kirker averages 5.45 assists per set.

The Yellow Jackets are 10-12 overall while sitting at third in the South division of the conference with an 8-4 mark. Cassie Shields leads the way averaging 2.77 kills per set. Teammate Kaley Matney averages 9.51 assists per set.
