COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican outdoor track and field teams will join the rest of their Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference members this Friday and Saturday to compete at the league's Outdoor Championship, hosted by Lake Erie College at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
In all, the championship meet will feature all 16 members of the conference, where everyone will be gunning for the title.
Single-day passes are $12 for an adult, $5 for college students with valid ID, students who are in grades K-12, senior citizens, and retired military with a valid ID. Active military and children under five are free. An all-session pass may be purchased for $25 for adults and $10 for students, senior citizens, and retired military. Parking for the event will be $10 per day.
The men have had two athletes hit provisional marks this season in junior Aaron Johnson (Troy, Ohio) and sophomore Taylor Williams (Houston, Texas). Johnson, who hit a provisional mark during the indoor season in the 60 meter hurdles at the Ohio State Tune-Up, ran a 14.54 in the 110 meter hurdles at the Ashland Alumni Open last weekend to hit his second provisional mark.
Williams ran a 21.43 in the 200 meter dash at the All-Ohio Track & Field Championship in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The GLIAC meet begins at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday with the start of the men's shot put followed by the running events starting at 2:30 p.m.
