NORTH CANTON, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican
track and field teams competed at the Walsh Invitational Thursday
afternoon on the campus of Walsh University.
On the men's side, junior Darrell
Harley (Columbus, Ohio) finished third in the 100
meter dash with a time of 11.16, while teammate junior Kenny Brown
(Westerville, Ohio) was seventh with a time of 11.65.
In the 200 meter dash, junior Xavier
Leonard (Atlanta, Georgia) was fourth with a time of
22.58.
Junior Ashton Hall
(Huber Heights, Ohio) was second in the 800 meter dash
with a time of 1:56.34, just one second shy of first place.
Sophomore Austin
Kilgore (Pickerington, Ohio) was ninth after crossing
the finish line with a time of 2:02.50.
Freshman Douglas
French (Chillicothe, Ohio) cracked the top-10 in the
1500 meter run after placing eighth with a time of 4:13.32.
Junior Aaron Johnson
(Troy, Ohio) was third in the 110 hurdles with a time of
14.89 and teammate sophomore Matt
Rosebrock (Napoleon, Ohio) was fourth in the 400 meter
hurdles with a time of 58.82.
In the 3000 meter steeplechase, junior Michael
Barber (New Franklin, Ohio) came in fourth with a time
of 10:01.00.
The 4x 100 relay team of Johnson, Leonard, sophomore Michael
Hawkins (Columbus, Ohio) and junior Taylor
Williams (Houston, Texas) came in second with a time
of 41.91.
The 4x400 team also came in second with a time of 3:21.25. That
team was made up of Brown, Rosebrock, Leonard, and junior
Dominick
Smith (Dayton, Ohio).
Junior Tyler Fifer
(Westerville, Ohio) took first in the high jump with a
mark of 2.00 meters, first in the triple jump with a mark of 13.72
meters and third in the long jump with a mark of 6.60 meters.
Senior Nick Green
(Wapakoneta, Ohio) took third in the shot put with a mark
of 14.99 meters and sophomore Connor Sensabaugh (Pataskala,
Ohio) was fourth in the javelin with a mark of 41.17
meters.
On the women's side, sophomore Maryann Dike (Toronto,
Ontario) was fourth in the 200 meter dash with a time of
25.82 and freshman Shakita Kabicek (Brook Park,
Ohio) came in fourth in the 1500 meter run with a time of
4:53.37. Junior Tara Walker (Lewis Center, Ohio)
rounded out the top-10 in the 1500 with a time of 5:04.47.
Freshman Morgan Bitzel (Hartville, Ohio) came
in eighth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 21:41.13.
The relay team of Dike, and freshmen Tierney Crawley
(Macedonia, Ohio), Kayla Statema (Warren,
Ohio), and Amber Schreck (Crestline,
Ohio) took second in the 4x100 with a time of 50.35.
The 4x400 relay team of Dike, Schreck, Statema, and sophomore
Alex Hall (Westerville, Ohio) also finished second
with a time of 4:04.56.
Junior Taylor Williams (Akron, Ohio) took
fourth in the shot put with a mark of 12.30 meters and fifth in the
hammer throw with a mark of 48.18 meters.
Sophomore Vogue Hall (Zanesville, Ohio) was
second in the javelin with a mark of 31.39 meters.
