MARIETTA, Ohio -- The Ohio Dominican track and field teams competed at the Don Frail Invitational Saturday on the campus of Marietta College.
For the men, junior Michael Barber (New Franklin, Ohio) finished fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:15.24. Teammate sophomore Austin Kilgore (Pickerington, Ohio) placed in the top-10 with a ninth place finish in the 1500 meter run after crossing the finish line with a time of 4:41.77.
In the 110 hurdles, junior Aaron Johnson (Troy, Ohio) grabbed a second place finish with a time of 15.11. Sophomore Michael Hawkins (Columbus, Ohio) took home a fifth place finish in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.37.
Sophomore Matt Rosebrock (Napoleon, Ohio) was sixth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:00.63 and teammate junior Jason Williams (Powell, Ohio) was first in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.30.
Freshman Patrick Ferguson (Austintown, Ohio) claimed ninth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 16:03.16.
The 4x100 relay team of Hawkins, sophomore Taylor Williams (Houston, Texas), freshman Jerome Thomas (West Palm Beach, Fla.), and junior Xavier Leonard (Atlanta, Ga.) placed first with a time of 43.33.
In the field events, junior Tyler Fifer (Westerville, Ohio) was first in the triple jump with a mark of 14.03 meters. Senior Nick Green (Wapakoneta, Ohio) was third in the hammer throw with a throw of 48.92 meters.
On the women's side, the 4x100 relay team of sophomore Alex Hall (Westerville, Ohio), freshmen Tierney Crawley (Macedonia, Ohio) and Kayla Statema (Warren, Ohio), and sophomore Maryann Dike (Toronto, Ontario) finished third with a time of 51.06.
Junior Tara Walker (Lewis Center, Ohio) finished third in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:06.11 and Dike finished second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.75.
Three Panthers finished in the top-10 in the 200 meter dash with Hall grabbing the number one spot with a time of 25.88. Statema placed third with a time of 27.35 and junior Katlyn Rini (Pickerington, Ohio) was fourth with a time of 27.90.
Freshman Shakita Kabicek (Brook Park, Ohio) was eighth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 19.02.36.
In the field events, sophomore Taylor Williams (Akron, Ohio) finished fourth in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.72 meters.
Ohio Dominican will compete next Friday, April 4 at the Marv Fyre Invitational in Delaware, Ohio.
