HILLSDALE, Ohio – Led by the duo of sophomore Taylor Williams and junior Aaron Johnson, Ohio Dominican's indoor track and field team wrapped up day one of competition at the GLIAC Championships Saturday at Hillsdale.
Taylor Williams (Houston, Texas) qualified for the finals in the 60 meter dash, taking eighth in the preliminaries with a time of 6.98.
Meanwhile, Aaron Johnson (Troy, Ohio) nearly qualified for the finals in the 60 meter hurdles as he finished tenth with a time of 8.35.
On the women's side, sophomore Maryann Dike (Toronto, Ontario) qualified for the finals in the 60 meter dash. Maryann grabbed the eighth spot after running a 7.83.
Junior Taylor Williams (Akron, Ohio) finished ninth in the weight throw, hitting a NCAA Division II provisional mark of 17.05 meters.
The championships wrap up with day two action Saturday at Hillsdale.
