CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Competing at the All-Ohio Invitational Saturday afternoon, featuring more than Division I, II, III and NAIA schools across the state, Ohio Dominican's women's cross country team finished eighth out of 13 Division II schools and the men placed 11th of 12 Division II/NAIA schools.
Freshman Austin Kilgore (Pickerington, Ohio) paced the men's squad with a time of 27:03.16, finishing 43rd out of 81 runners. Sophomore Michael Barber (New Franlin, Ohio) followed in 27:28.75, while classmate freshman Connor Callahan (Columbus, Ohio) finished with a mark of 29:03.18. Also breaking the 30 minute barrier were Brendan Walburn (Hebron, Ohio) in 29:09.05 and freshman Luke Howard (Columbus, Ohio) in 29:20.38.
On the women's side, sophomore Tara Walker (Lewis Center, Ohio) led the Panthers with a fourth place finish out of 87 runners. She completed the course in a time of 18:59.05. Other top finishers included freshman Nicole Brown (Columbus, Ohio), who came in at 20:31.90 and freshman Amber Willeman (Napoleon, Ohio) at 29:20.38.
ODU's cross country teams are back in action on October 12 at the Wilmington Fall Classic.
