WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's cross country teams battled to strong finishes, with the women finishing second and the men fourth at Saturday afternoon's Otterbein Cross Country Invitational, hosted by Otterbein University.
The men's race featured nine teams and 105 competitors while the women's featured 12 teams and 129 racers.
The women continued their momentum from last week's National Catholic Cross Country Invitational hosted by Notre Dame with three runners finishing in the top 20. Highlighting the performance was sophomore Tara Walker (Lewis Center, Ohio), who finished fourth out of 129 runners with a time of 18:49.80.
Freshman Nicole Brown (Columbus, Ohio) finished strong for the Panthers, crossing the finish line at 16th with a time of 20:11.40. Rounding out the top 20 for ODU was freshman Amber Willeman (Napoleon, Ohio) with a time of 20:16.40.
On the men's side, sophomore Mike Barber (New Franklin, Ohio) continued to pace the Panthers with his 10th place finish with a time of 27:26.00, while freshman Austin Kilgore (Pickerington, Ohio) came in at 28:05.70.
Ohio Dominican's cross country teams return to action on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Cedarville All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championships.
