INDIANAPOLIS - Sophomore outside hitter
Logan Rubel was named the Great Midwest Volleyball South Division Athlete of the Week on Monday (Sept. 28). Rubel becomes the first Panther to double up on honors this season and this is the fourth week that the Panthers have won the award out of five weeks.
Rubel finished the week with 29 kills (3.63 K/S), one service ace and 32 digs (4.0 D/S) while hitting .225. She led the team in kills and was second in digs. In a four-set win at Tiffin, Rubel had 13 kills and 16 digs before adding 16 kills and another 16 digs against Cedarville.
Rubel has 158 kills (team leader) and 151 digs (2nd on the team). The sophomore ranks 6th in kills among the G-MAC.
2026 Great Midwest Volleyball South Division Athlete of the Week (ODU)
Ohio Dominican is 13-2 overall and 6-0 in conference play, winners of seven straight matches entering road action at Walsh and Malone this weekend.
