OWENSBORO, Ky. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers (11-2, 4-0 G-MAC) volleyball team made a trip through Kentucky this weekend to continue Great Midwest action. On Friday (Sept. 18), the Panthers took on the Thomas More Saints (5-5, 1-1) before heading to Owensboro to face the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers (3-9, 0-4) on Saturday (Sept. 19).
Ohio Dominican remained perfect in G-MAC play, sweeping the weekend in Kentucky by 3-0 scores.
Friday - W, 3-0 vs. Thomas More
- Set 1: ODU 25-14
- The set was tied five times before Thomas More led by two points (6-4 & 8-6). Trailing 8-6, Ohio Dominican used a 9-0 run to take the lead and finished the set with a 19-6 run to close the set.
- Set 2: ODU 25-15
- Thomas More scored the first point but the lead was short lived as the Panthers answered with a 10-2 run. An Annie Fincham kill forced Thomas More to call a timeout, leading 10-3. Thomas More got within five points but that was as close as they got with the Panthers pulling away. The Panthers won the set 25-15.
- Set 3: ODU 25-10
- After two early ties in the first four points, Ohio Dominican outscored the Saints 23-8 as they won the set 25-10.

Saturday - W, 3-0 vs. Kentucky Wesleyan
- Set 1: ODU 25-15
- The teams battled early on with exchanging the lead and a few ties. Back-to-back errors allowed ODU to lead 4-2 - giving them the lead for good. KWC called timeout down 9-5, ODU outscored KWC 16-10 to close and lead 1-0.
- Set 2: ODU 25-22
- Kentucky Wesleyan opened the second set with a 4-1 lead before ODU scored four straight points to lead 5-4. The set would be tied three times until KWC opened a lead. After the set was knotted at 8-8, KWC scored seven consecutive points as the visitors were down 15-8. A 6-1 ODU rally got the Black and Gold within two points at 16-14. KWC expanded the lead to five points at 20-15. Another 6-1 ODU spurt tied the set at 21. The set was tied at 22 two points later as ODU ended the set with the final four points, winning 25-22.

- KWC led early on again until ODU scored four straight points, including a pair of aces from Logan Rubel. Ohio Dominican cruised to a 25-19 win to sweep the match.
