FLORENCE, Ind. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers men's golf team headed to the southern part of the Hoosier State for the 2026 Great Midwest Men's Golf Championship this week. On Monday (April 20) and Tuesday (April 21), the Panthers battled their conference foes in a 54-hole tournament as they looked to retain their 2025 title at Belterra Golf Club.
Ohio Dominican notched a fifth place finish as a team of the 11 schools, totaling 898 (+46). The Panthers started the tournament with a 300 (+16) in round over before ending day one with a 297 (+13). On day three, ODU battled some breezy conditions to wrap up play with a 301 (+17).
The team was tied for fourth in pars (147) and was tied for sixth most in birdies with 32.
- Nathan Menapace: 8th place shooting 7-over 220 (career-low for 54 holes) with rounds of 4-over 75, 2-over 73 and 1-over 72
- Finished with most pars in the tournament (37) - had 15 pars in round three, 12 in round one and ten in the second round
- Tied with Campbell and Hughes with six birdies
- Chase Forsyth: Tied for 13th place with a 9-over 222, shot rounds of even-par 71, 4-over 75 and 5-over 76
- Led ODU and was tied for 3rd overall with 10 birdies (four in round one and three in rounds two and three)
- Tied with Hughes and Zimmerman for pars at 27
- Tenth round at or below par this season (leads team)
- Jonathan Campbell: Tied for 25th place at a 231 (+18) - tallied 3-over 74, an 82 and 4-over 75
- Tied with Hughes and Menapace with six birdies
- Made 29 pars in the tournament
- Cian Hughes: Tied for 28th place scoring 233 (+20) with scores of 83, 1-over 72 and 7-over 78
- Tied with Campbell and Menapace with six birdies
- Tied with Forsyth and Zimmerman for pars at 27
- Elijah Zimmerman: 35th place overall at a 237 (+24) after rounds of 9-over 80, 6-over 77 and 9-over 80
