RICHMOND, Ky. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers men's golf team continued the Spring season with a trip to the Bluegrass State for the Findlay Spring Invitational.
Ohio Dominican was 13th of 20 teams at Boone's Trace National Golf Club for three rounds of action on Monday (March 23) and Tuesday (March 24). The Panthers totaled 884 (+20) in the event with team rounds of 298 (+10), 2-over 290 and 8-over 296. The team tallied their fourth and seventh best rounds of the season (290 and 296).
The Panthers totaled two eagles (tied for 2nd), 46 birdies (4th most) and 150 pars as a team.
- Cian Hughes: Top Panther finisher with a 2-over 218 in a 27th place tie; scored even-par 72 and two rounds of 1-over 73
- Nine birdies and 35 pars for the event
- Jonathan Campbell: Season best 54-hole total of 4-over 220, finishing tied for 33rd place; had rounds of 1-over 73, even-par 72 and 3-over 75
- Compiled eight birdies, one eagle and 32 pars
- Chase Forsyth: Finished tied for 47th place at a 6-over 222 with rounds of 5-over 77, 1-over 73 and even-par 72
- Led the team with 12 birdies while having one eagle and 25 pars
- Elijah Zimmerman: Shot a season-best 227 (+11) in 72nd place, notching rounds of 4-over 76, even-par 72 and 7-over 79
- Had 11 birdies and 26 pars
- Rune Van Den Bosch: Scored 235 (+19) in first 54-hole event of the year, had rounds of 7-over 79, 8-over 80 and 4-over 76
- Made six birdies and 32 pars
The team heads to Laconia, Indiana for the Findianapolis Intercollegiate next week.
