JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers men's golf team returned to the course after a few weeks off as they competed at the Sunnehanna Collegiate on Monday (Sept. 29) and Tuesday (Sept. 30).
The Panthers slotted 11th overall of 17 teams at Sunnehanna Country Club. Ohio Dominican shot their best 54-hole total with 867 while scoring 4-over 284, 6-over 286 and 297 (+17). The 284 and 286 were the best two rounds for the Panthers this season so far.
The Panthers had 33 birdies and 163 pars as a collective unit.
- Cian Hughes: 6th place finish with a 1-over 211, tallying a 1-under 69 between two rounds of 1-over 71
- His 69 was tied for season-low
- Eli Zimmerman: Tied for 35th place, was 7-over 217 (season-best) for the tournament with scores of 2-over 72, 1-over 71 (season-low) and 4-over 74
- Chase Forsyth: Scored 10-over 220 in a 47th place tie, started with rounds of even-par 70 and 1-under 69 before a 81 (+11) in the final round
- Led the team with nine birdies and 39 pars
- Nathan Menapace and Jonathan Campbell: Tied for 69th place with a 225 (+15) for the event - setting a season-low for 54 holes
- Campbell went 3-over 73, 7-over 77 and 5-over 75 while Menapace was 1-over 71 (season-low), and two rounds of 7-over 77
The team will play next at the Davenport Panther Invitational on October 11th and 12th.
