CANTON, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican Panthers men's golf team opened the 2025 Fall season at the Malone-Glenmoor Invitational on Monday (Sept. 8) and Tuesday (Sept. 9).
After 54 holes, the Panthers were fourth overall of 12 teams that competed in the tournament at Glenmoor Country Club. Ohio Dominican totaled 898 with rounds of 303 (+15), 1-over 289, 306 (+18).
The Panthers had three eagles (tied for most), 43 birdies (tied for 3rd most) and 143 pars.
- Chase Forsyth: Third place in his first tournament with ODU at even-par 216; scored 4-over 76, 4-under 68 and even-par 72
- Led all players with 16 birdies while also notching a hole-in-one on the par-3 14th hole in round 2
- Cian Hughes: Tied for 11th place, shooting 5-over 221 with rounds of 4-over 76, 3-under 69, 4-over 76
- Tied for 4th in pars with 35 while leading the Panthers in that category, had one of ODU's eagles with Forsyth
- Nathan Menapace: Finished tied for 29th place at 230 (+14), shot 5-over 77, 3-over 75 and 6-over 78
- Eli Zimmerman: Tied for 33rd place, one stroke behind Menapace at 231 (+15) after going 2-over 74, 5-over 77 and 8-over 80
- Garett Dillon: Competed as the individual, finishing tied for 55th place - had a 246 (+30) with a best round of 6-over 78 along with rounds of 8-over 80 and 88 (+16)
- Jonathan Campbell: Rounded out the Panthers in 65th place on a final score of 253 (+37), his best round was an 82 (+10) after rounds of 83 (+11) and 88 (+16)
The team will take a break for a few weeks before playing in the Pitt-Johnstown Sunnehanna Intercollegiate on Sept. 29-30.
