NORMAN, Okla. - The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) revealed the 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars for NCAA Division II last week.
210 student-athletes from 79 Division II schools were awarded this prestigious honor, down from 226 a year ago. Four schools had five recipients while ODU was one of 16 schools with four winners. The Panthers were tied with Findlay and Tiffin for the most in the G-MAC.
Once again, four members of the Ohio Dominican men's golf team received the award. Seniors
Tyler Andersen,
Jeremiah Bane and
Yadhu Urs were recognized along with graduate student
Jack Lindgren.
Urs has been named a recipient of the GCAA All-America Scholar award for the 3rd straight year. Andersen and Bane and Linder are repeat winners in 2024-25 while Lindgren is earning his first accolade.
To be eligible for a GCAA All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
