CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Two members of the Ohio Dominican women's golf team were placed on the 2024-25 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar List on Monday (June 30).
Freshman Marissa Cline and senior Ellyn Deibel were named to the All-American Scholar Team this year. Deibel is earning her third honor in her career after being named All-American Scholar in 2022 and 2024. Cline is the ninth Panther to earn this award as a freshman.
A total of 1,499 women's collegiate golfers from 403 programs were named to the WGCA All-American Scholar list for this past school year. The Great Midwest Athletic Conference combined for 31 awards among eight different programs.
The criteria for the selection of the All-American Scholar Team states a student-athlete must have a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds.
Since 2010-11, the Panthers program has seen 38 WGCA All-American Scholars named.
