ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers women's golf team concluded play at the NCAA East Regional on Wednesday (May 7) afternoon following 54 holes of action at the Meadows Golf Club at Grand Valley State University.
After a 321 for the first round of the Regional, the Panthers tallied rounds of 327 and 326 to wrap up play with a 54-hole total of 974. ODU finished 16th of 18 teams in the team standings.
Panther Results:
- Ellyn Deibel: Finished tied for 35th place with a 237 (+21) after rounds of 84, 6-over 78 and 3-over 75
- Led the team with 35 pars for the tournament
- Deibel's 75 was the lowest round shot in the NCAA Regionals for the ODU in program history
- Caroline Tragesser: Tied for 71st place with a 246 (+30), shooting 6-over 78, 82 and 86
- Maria Briceno Vargas: Ended one stroke behind Tragesser at 247 (+31) in a 74th place tie
- After an opening round 7-over 79, Briceno Vargas tallied rounds of 85 and 83
- Marissa Cline: Shot 249 (+33) to tie for 77th place, scoring 82, 83, and 84 in her respective rounds
- Had a team-high five birdies over 54 holes
- Sydney Devore: Tied for 79th place after a final score of 250 (+34), scored 82 and back-to-back rounds of 84
