SALISBURY, N.C. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers women's golf team headed south to the Patsy Rendleman Invitational, hosted by Catawba on Monday (March 23) and Tuesday (March 24).
The team scored 323 in the first two rounds (tied for the 5th best round of the season) before shooting 329 in round three for a 54-hole total of 975 (+123) - finishing sixth of nine teams. They had 14 birdies (tied for 5th place) and 118 pars (3rd most) as a collective team.
- Sydney Devore: Finished in a 15th place tie at 238 (+25) with two rounds on day one of 9-over 80 and then a 7-over 78 on day two
- Seventh most pars in the tournament and team leader with 32
- Maria Briceno Vargas: Tied for 22nd place with a 244 (+31) - setting a season-low for 54 holes; her best round was a 9-over 80 sandwiched between rounds of 82
- Made one birdie and 24 pars
- Ava Kemp: Tallied her best 54-hole score with a 240 (+27) in 19th place; shot a career-low 6-over 77 with other rounds of 9-over 80 and 83
- Four birdies (tied for 8th most) and 28 pars
- Alana Miller: 41st place overall with a 255 (+42), shooting rounds of 9-over 81, 86 and 88
- Tied with Kemp in birdies (four) and added 18 pars
- Marissa Cline: Tied for 42nd place at a 256 (+43) after scoring 82, 86 and 88 in her rounds
- Led the team with five birdies (tied for 3rd overall) and had 16 pars
The team will compete next week in the Findianapolis Intercollegiate.
