LACONIA, Ind. - The Ohio Dominican Panthers women's golf team battled a number of regional foes at the Findianapolis Intercollegiate on Monday (March 30) and Tuesday (March 31). Three individuals competed in The Commemorative on Sunday (March 29) and Monday (March 30), hosted by Hocking College at Lancaster Golf Club.
FINDIANAPOLIS INTERCOLLEGIATE
Playing at Chariot Run Golf Club, the team was eighth of nine teams with a 54-hole total of 985 (+121). The Panthers scored 344 (+56) in round one, a 324 (+36) in round two and a 317 (+29) for the third round. The 317 was the second best round for the Panthers. They had 16 birdies and 117 pars for the tournament.
- Sydney Devore: Finished in a 20th place tie at 242 (+26); shooting rounds of 84, 83 and 3-over 75
- Tied for the team lead with 26 pars and four birdies
- Ava Kemp: 30th overall with a 245 (+29); scoring 87, 8-over 80 and 6-over 78
- Maria Briceno Vargas: Tied for 31st place with a 246 (+30); had two rounds of 9-over 81 and an 84
- Made three birdies and 23 pars
- Alana Miller: Tied for 40th place overall with a 252 (+36), tying her season-best 54-hole score with rounds of 8-over 80, 83 and 89
- One birdie and added 26 pars to tie for team lead
- Alyssa Rishty: 48th place with a total of 263 (+47); improved from a first round 96 to a second round of 84 and 83 in the third round
- Tallied four birdies and 18 pars
HOCKING THE COMMEMORATIVE
- Marissa Cline: Medalist with a 36-hole score of 166 (+22); rounds of 84 and 82
- Meg Saffell: 2nd overall with a 167 (+23), shooting a season-low round of 7-over 79 with an 88 in round two
- Mia Steigerwald: 4th place at a 177 (+33), scoring 91 and 86
The team will host the NC4K Classic in Grove City on Monday (April 6) and Tuesday (April 7).
