SPRINGBORO, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican Panthers men's golf team prepped for the 2025 Great Midwest Men's Golf Championship with their best showing of the season at the Wright State Invitational this weekend.
Ohio Dominican was third of 12 teams in a mainly Division I field at the Heatherwoode Golf Club on Sunday (April 13) and Monday (April 14), shooting a school record 844 (-8) over 54 holes. the Panthers started the tournament with an 18-hole school record of 7-under 277 before shooting 1-under 283 and an even par 284.
ODU ranked third with 58 birdies and tied for 6th with 199 pars along with two eagles.
Panthers Results
- Yadhu Urs: Tied for 7th with a season and career-low 4-under 209; tied his best single round career mark with a 3-under 68 along with a 1-over 72 and 2-under 69
- Tyler Andersen: Finished in an 11th place tie, shooting a career-best 3-under 210; bookmarked a middle round of 1-over 72 with two rounds of 2-under 69
- Led ODU with 13 birdies (tied for 6th overall)
- Jeremiah Bane: Shot 1-over 214 for the tournament in a 29th place tie; started the tournament with a 1-under 70 before an even-par 71 and 2-over 73
- Jackson Parnell: Set a season and career-low with an 1-over 214 tied with Bane; tallied two day one scores of 1-under 70 (tying season-low) while shooting 2-over 73 in round three
- Nash Linder: Top ranked individual for the Panthers in a 35th place tie, scoring 3-over 216 (season and career-low); scored a career-low 1-under 70 in the second round with other scores of 1-over 72 and 3-over 74
- Bryce Cobb: Tied with Linder in 35th place at 3-over 216 as he tied a season and career-low; tied a season-low with a 1-under 70 with two rounds of 2-over 73
- Nathan Menapace: Second among ODU individuals in 67th place after a career-low 224 (+11); scored day one rounds of 3-over 74 and 9-over 80 before setting career-low 1-under 70
- Jack Lindgren: Tied for 78th place at 230 (+17), scoring 7-over 78, 4-over 75 and 6-over 77
- Kolin McKee: Scored 243 (+30) as an individual with a best round of 6-over 77 along with an 81 (+10) and 85 (+14)
Next up is the Great Midwest Men's Golf Championships at Belterra Golf Club in Florence, Indiana - starting on Monday (April 21) and going through Wednesday (April 23).
