ASHLAND, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican Panthers indoor track and field team competed at the Ashland Jud Logan Light Giver Memorial for the weekend, their second trip to Ashland this season.
One school record fell with two top ten marks and ten personal bests as the Panthers battled dozens of teams from across the Midwest in Divisions I, II and III on Friday (Feb. 7) and Saturday (Feb. 8).

- Peyton Proffitt: 3.65 meters (11 feet, 11 ¾ inches) – 4th highest mark in program history
Other Finishes
- Eayuel Gebrtsadik: Set the ODU record for the 3000 meters in 11th place with an 8:34.94
- Virtner Crews III:Â 6.97 seconds in the 60 meter prelims, 12th fastest in the standings
- Merrick Shorter: PR of 8:36.31 in the 3000 meters, also breaking the old school record to sit 2nd in program history
- Aboubacar Soumahoro:Â 9.60 seconds in 60 meter hurdles qualifying (19th place) and did not mark in the high jump
- Isaac Eugene: Timed out at 50.62 seconds for the sub 50 pace of the 400 meter race, finishing 22nd place
- Faith Yancey:Â Tied her PR of 8.01 second 60 meter qualifying time to make the prelims; ran a 8.02 second time in the prelims for 26th place
- Ismael Obas:Â Ran identical times of 7.09 seconds for 60 meter qualifying and the prelims; was 8th fastest in qualifying and finished 29th place in the prelims
- Shyla Pemberton: Season-best 1:02.72 in the 400 meters, finishing in 29th place
- Eva Dulle:Â Made her 3000 meter debut with a PR time of 11:17.78
- Felix Prewitt:Â Second-fastest 60 meter time of the season during qualifying (7.33 seconds)
- Nikane Ambos:Â Ran an 8.43 second 60 meter time in qualifying, second fastest time of the season
- Naomi Haring: Clocked in at 1:08.97 in the 400 meters, her second fastest time of the season
- Yagouba Barry: PR of 53.36 in the 400 meters
- Jamarion Hall: 400 meter PR of 55.37
- Anna Blackstone: 12:26.40 for the 3000 meters, her third fastest time of the year
- Alyza Camp: PR time of 12:44.97 in the 3000 meters
- Edward Devaney: Mile PR of 4:52.65
- Blake Murgatroyd:Â Set a 3000 meter PR of 9:17.04
- Gabrielle Reed:Â Set a mile PR of 6:01.19
- Aileen Castillo: 6:18.32 in the mile for her second fastest race of the season
- Brandon Ammons: Made his second appearance in the shot put, topping out at 9.62 meters
The team will rest for a week before heading back to Ashland for the Last Chance Meet on February 22
