AKRON, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican Panthers outdoor track and field team traveled to the University of Akron for the Northeast Ohio Open on Friday (April 10).
 
The Panthers had 12 finishes within the top eight, including three podium finishes.
 
1^st Place

• Eayuel Gebrtsadik: 9:37.10 for the 3000 meter steeplechase (2^nd all-time)

2^nd Place

• Peyton Proffitt: 3.95 meters in the pole vault (tied for 3^rd all-time)
• 4x100 Relay (Crews, Jarju, Obas, Thomas): 42.20 seconds

3^rd Place

• Ismael Obas: 10.94 seconds in the 100 meter dash

5^th Place

• Eva Dulle: 2:39.87 in the 800 meters

6^th Place

• Naomi Haring: 2:47.35 in the 800 meters
• Emma Kelbley: 1.40 meters in the high jump
• Merrick Shorter: 4:09.58 in the 1500 meter run

8^th Place

• Aileen Castillo: 2:55.62 for the 800 meters
• Eva Dulle: 5:17.90 in the 1500 meter run
• Ismael Obas: 5.64 meters in the long jump
• Matthew Thomas: 11.14 seconds for the 100 meter dash

Other Finishes

• Kiera Archer: 9^th overall in the 400 meter dash (1:00.69)
• Tyra McClain: 9^th in the 800 meters (3:00.67)
• Matthew Thomas: 9^th place in the 200 meter dash with a 22.47 second time
• Yagouba Barry: 11^th place for the 400 meters at 51.42 seconds
• Shyla Pemberton: 4.40 meters in the long jump for 12^th place
• Anna Blackstone: 12^th place in the 1500 meters at 5:39.44
• Aileen Castillo: 13^th place for the 1500 meters, running a 5:52.93
• Virtner Crews III: 13^th overall in the 200 meters with a 22.68 second time
• Giovanni Louprasong: 13^th place for the 400 meters at 52.34 seconds
• Alyza Camp: 16^th place in the 1500 meters at a 6:20.74
• Jalynn Fillmore: 18^th overall for the 400 meters with a time of 59.10 seconds
• Abdou Jarju: 17^th overall in the 200 meters (23.19 seconds); 19^th place for the 100 meter dash at a 11.63 second time
• Jon Chaney: 20^th  place in the discus throw with a best mark of 40.25 meters
• Felix Prewitt: 21^st overall in the 100 meter dash (11.68 seconds)
• Brandon Ammons: 31^st in the discus throw, topping out at 30.42 meters

 
The Panthers will compete in the Otterbein Twlight on Friday, April 17^th.
