BEXLEY, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican Panthers indoor track and field team got back to action in 2025 at the CapFam Alumni Classic and the East Coast Pole Vault Convention. 

In competition with Capital, Wheeling and Mount Vernon Nazarene, the Panthers came away with 12 podium finishes. 

1^st Place Finishes

• Merrick Shorter: 4:28.67 in the mile run
• Aboubacar Soumahoro: 9.33 seconds for the 60 meter hurdles finals after a 9.64 second prelims time
  • Tied his high jump PR of 1.85 meters

2^nd Place Finishes

• Faith Yancey: 27.65 seconds in the 200 meters, setting a collegiate PR
• Eva Dulle: Just missed PR with a 5:48.93 time for the mile
• Virtner Crews III: 6.93 seconds in the 60 meter finals after running a 7.04 second prelim time (fastest entering finals)
• Aboubacar Soumahoro: 24.70 seconds in the 200 meters in first race of the season
• Isaac Eugene: PR of 51.87 seconds for the 400 meters
• Eayuel Gebrtsadik: 4:28.77 in the mile

3rd Place Finishes

• Faith Yancey: 8.22 second finals time after a 8.11 second prelim time (3rd best time in prelims)
• Shyla Pemberton: 28.31 second time in the 200 meters
• Keelian Graham: PR of 59.05 seconds in the 400 meters
• Eayuel Gebrtsadik: Ran a 2:03.33 in the 800 meters

4th Place Finishes

• G'nae Morrison: 8.30 seconds in the finals, improving from an 8.41 second prelims time
• Naomi Haring: 1:11.96 in the 400 meters
• Ismael Obas: 7.15 seconds in the 60 meters finals after a season-best 7.14 second prelim time

5^th Place Finishes

• Nikane Ambos: 29.94 second time in the 200 meters
• Eva Dulle: 2:46.92 for first 800 meter race of the season
• Keelian Graham: 25.92 seconds in the 200 meters
• Jamarion Hall: Made his season debut in 800 meters with a 2:15.57 time

6^th Place Finishes

• Gabrielle Reed: Ran the 800 meters for the first time, clocking in at 2:59.25
• Anna Blackstone: 6:17.82 in the mile in season debut

7^th Place Finishes

• Alyza Camp: 6:45.72 in her first mile race of the season
• Blake Murgatroyd: Competed in mile for the first time this season, timing out at 4:50.39

Other Finishes

• Felix Prewitt: 9th in the 60 meters with a 7.35 second prelims time in season debut
• Edward Devaney: 5:00.48 in the mile for his season debut
• Peyton Proffitt: Competed at the East Coast Pole Vault Convention at Akron in the pole vault, had no mark
• Owen Wilhelm: Tied season-best of 1.70 meters in the high jump

The Panthers will travel to Westerville for the Otterbein Invite on Saturday (Jan. 18).
