WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican Panthers outdoor track and field team participated on Friday (April 17) night at the Otterbein Twlight.
 
The Panthers had six finishes within the top eight with two winning events. There were seven marks that qualifying for the top ten of the record books.

The men scored 17 points to finish 14^th of 23 teams while the women tallied 12 points for a 13^th place finish of 19 teams.

1^st Place

• Peyton Proffitt: 3.90 meters in the pole vault (6^th best all-time)
• Merrick Shorter: 14:55.97 in the 5000 meters (school record)

5^th Place

• Virtner Crews III: 10.77 seconds in the 100 meter finals after a 10.73 second prelim time (10.73 seconds is 7^th all-time while the 10.77 second mark is 9^th all-time)

7^th Place

• Kiera Archer: 13.12 seconds in the 100 meter finals after a 12.75 second prelim time

8^th Place

• Eayuel Gebrtsadik: 15:15.64 in the 5000 meters (5^th fastest all-time)
• 4x100 Relay (Crews, Jarju, Obas, Thomas): 41.88 seconds (tied for 4^th best all-time)

• Kiera Archer: 9^th place in the 400 meters with a time of 59.21 seconds (8^th fastest in program history)
• Shyla Pemberton: 17^th place in 100 meter prelims at 13.01 seconds; 23^rd in the 400 meters at 1:03.26; 24^th in the long jump at 4.43 meters
• Matthew Thomas: 18^th place in the 100 meter prelims with a time of 10.96 seconds, improving from a qualifying time of 11.23 seconds; 19^th place in the 200 meters at 22.39 seconds
• Anna Blackstone: 18^th place in the 5000 meters with a 20:22.26 time
• Emma Kelbley: 1.37 meters in the high jump for 20^th place

The Panthers will prepare for the 2026 Great Midwest Championship with an appearance at the Denison Big Red Invitational next Friday.
