Men's Golf Has Four Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. - The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced the 2023-24 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars for NCAA Division II on Thursday (July 25) afternoon.

Overall, there were 226 student-athletes from 77 Division II schools awarded this prestigious honor. 

For the second straight year, four members of the Ohio Dominican men's golf team received the award for the 2023-24 academic year. Juniors Tyler Andersen (Columbiana, Ohio), Jeremiah Bane (Grove City, Ohio) and Yadhu Urs (Castries, Saint Lucia) were recognized along with sophomore Nash Linder (Grove City, Ohio). 

Urs is now a two-time recipient of the GCAA All-America Scholar award after winning it last year. Andersen, Bane and Linder are now winning their first honors. 

To be eligible for a GCAA All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
