HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Ohio Dominican Panthers outdoor track and field team finished the 2024 outdoor season at the Great Midwest Championships this week. Competition took place on Wednesday (May 1), Thursday (May 2) and Friday (May 3) at Hayden Park in Hillsdale, Michigan.

Three school records were broken in the final meet of the year, including the 4x100 relay, javelin and long jump. Ohio Dominican finished tenth on the mens side with 11 points scored and 11th in the women's standings, scotring seven points.

5^th Place Finishes

• Brooke Armbrust (Grove City, Ohio) – 2nd fastest program 100 meter time in the prelims (11.97 seconds), ran a 12.22 second final time (9th fastest in the program); 8th place in the 200 meter final (25.47 seconds) - totaled the sixth and seventh fastest 200 meter times (25.36 seconds in prelims)
• 4x100 Relay (Obas, Boahen, Seely, Diaby) - school record time of 41.54 seconds

6^th Place Finishes

• Cole Miller (Bainbridge, Ohio) – long jump school record of 7.22 meters
• Owen Wilhelm (Sunbury, Ohio) – topped out at 1.88 meters in the high jump

7^th Place Finishes

• Ashley Chmielewski (Roscommon, Mich.) – javelin school record of 35.20 meters

8^th Place Finishes

• Eugene Boahen (Columbus, Ohio) - 10.86 seconds in the 100 meter final, ran a 10.70 second prelim time (4th fastest in program history); 10th place in the 200 meter prelims after a 21.92 second run
• Aly Diaby – 22.22 seconds for the 200 meter prelims (PR) for 13th place; 2nd fastest program time for 400 meters of 48.77 seconds in prelims

• 4x400 Relay (Eugene, Gebrtsadik, Barry, Seely) - 11th with a 3:28.54 time
• Henry Pierce (Rockbridge, Ohio) – 11th place in the discus throw with a PR of 41.40 meters
• G'nae Morrison (San Antonio, Texas) – PR of 12.47 seconds in the 100 meter prelims for 14th place; 21st place for the 200 meter prelims (26.88 seconds)
• Eayuel Gebrtsadik (Columbus, Ohio) – 2nd fastest 1500 meter time in the prelims in program history (4:00.71) for 16th place
• Ismael Obas (Columbus, Ohio) – 11.05 seconds in the 100 meter prelims, 17th place; 26th place in the 200 meter prelims (23.05 seconds)
• Kassydee Owens (Harlan, Kentucky) – 17th place in the 400 meter prelims with a season-best 1:01.17; 200 meter prelim time of 28.08 seconds, 25th place
• Benjamin Seely (Chesterton, Indiana) – 18th place in the 100 meter prelims with a 11.05 second PR
• Isaac Eugene (Westerville, Ohio) – 19th place for the 200 meter prelims (22.60 seconds - 2nd fastest of the season); 50.67 seconds in 400 meter prelims in 21st place
• Grace Pitt (Hilliard, Ohio) – 1:12.21 400 meter hurdles time in the prelims, 20th place
• Manny Codjoe (Bolingbrook, Illinois) – season-best 100 meter time in the prelims of 11.25 seconds (21st place)
