SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican Panthers indoor track and field team kicked off the 2024-25 season with a showing at the Wittenberg Tiger Opener on Saturday (Dec. 7) afternoon.
Inside the Steemer Center, the Panthers notched five top three finishes, 12 personal bests and one school record falling.
1st Place Finishes
- Virtner Crews III: 6.89 seconds in the 60 meter finals (tied for 3rd fastest time in the program)Â after 6.95 seconds in the prelims
- 23.03 second time for the 200 meters (6th place)
- Eva Dulle: Mile debut, setting a PR of 5:48.30
- Peyton Proffitt: School record 3.73 meters (12' 2.75") in the pole vault in her Panther debut
2nd Place Finishes
- Eayuel Gebrtsadik: 4.26.96 for the Mile (9th fastest time in the program)
- 2:01.89 PR in the 800 meters (10th place)
3rd Place Finishes
- Isaac Eugene: 22.62 seconds for the 200 meters
- PR of 7.08 seconds in the 60 meter finals for 4th place (7.15 seconds in the prelims)
5th Place Finishes
- Aboubacar Soumahoro: 1.85 meters in the high jump (PR)
- 9.30 second PR (10th place) for the 60 meter hurdles prelims
6th Place Finishes
- Faith Yancey: 8.06 second finals time in the 60 meters after running an 8.01 second PR in the prelims
7th Place Finishes
- Ismael Obas: 7.15 seconds in the 60 meters finals and a 7.17 second prelim time
- 23.59 seconds in the 200 meters for 18th place
8th Place Finishes

- G'nae Morrison: 9th in the 60 meters with an 8.05 second prelim time
- Shyla Pemberton: 9th place for the 400 meters (1:03.86)
- Kassydee Owens:Â 12th in the 400 meters with a 1:04.55; 29th place in the 200 meters with a 29.86 second timeÂ
- Joseph Chandler: 13th in the 60 meters (7.24 second PR); 24.28 seconds for the 200 meters in 27th place
- Owen Wilhelm: 13th place at 1.70 meters for the high jump
- Naomi Haring: 20th in the 400 meters with a 1:08.44 in her collegiate debut
- Nikane Ambos:Â 21st place for the 60 meter hurdles (10.78 prelim time - PR); 28th in the 200 meters running a 29.69Â second time
- Keelian Graham: PR of 7.78 seconds for the 60 meters (33th place); 33rd in the 200 meters with a 24.95 second PR
After the holiday break, the Panthers will return to action at the CapFam Alumni Classic on January 10th.Â
