WILSON, North Carolina - The Ohio Dominican Panthers men's golf team opened the Spring portion of the 2022-23 season with an appearance in the Barton Intercollegiate at the Wilson Country Club on Monday (March 13) and Tuesday (March 14). 

Ohio Dominican tallied a ninth place team finish over 54 holes. The Panthers shot 303 in the first round, before the second round was suspended at the end of Monday. In the second round, Ohio Dominican totaled 311 and ended Tuesday's round with a 327. For the total event, the Panthers had a team score of 941. 

Sophomore Yadhu Urs (Castries, Saint Lucia) led the Panthers, tying for eighth place with a 222 total - setting a 54-hole season best. He shot 71, 73 and 78 for his three rounds. 

Freshman Harrison Leaver (Worchester, England) finished second on the team with a 36th place finish. After shooting 75 in the first round, Leaver shot a season-best 74 in round two. He rounded out the event with an 85 on Tuesday. 

Freshman Kolin McKee (Sunbury, Ohio) and senior Jacob Brownley (West Chester, Ohio) were separated by one stroke after the end of the event. McKee had two rounds of 79 in the first and third rounds with an 85 in the middle round. Brownley completed rounds of 79, 80 and 85. McKee compiled a composite score of 243 with Brownley at 244. 

Newcomer Jackson Parnell (Maineville, Ohio) made his Panther debut with a best round of 78 on Monday. He added a round of 84 and 85 to wrap up the event with a 247 total. 

The Spring campaign carries on this weekend at the Marietta Spring Invite on Saturday (March 18) and Sunday (March 19).
