COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Fresh off its first win of the season, the Ohio Dominican football team hits the road for the first time this fall with a trip to William Jewell (Mo.).
The first meeting between ODU and WJC is set for a 1 p.m. (ET), noon (CT) kickoff on Saturday, Sept, 18. Saturday will also be the first of two straight weeks of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference and Great Lakes Valley Conference crossover scheduling alliance.
OPENING KICKOFF
- The Panthers are coming off a 10-7 home win over Virginia State last weekend.
- The ODU win gave VSU its first loss to a non-ranked or non-FCS opponent since the start of the 2019 season.
- Brady Blattner (Byesville, Ohio) led the defense with 13 tackles and one interception en route to being named G-MAC Defensive Player of the Week.
- Evan Ernst (Mason, Ohio) connected with James Morgan (Columbus, Ohio) on five passes, including the Panthers only touchdown.
- Frederick Pitts V (Huber Heights, Ohio) rushed for a team-high 70 yards in the win and has 120 yards this season.
