INDIANAPOLIS -- The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has revealed the 2025 All-Conference Teams and Special Awards on Tuesday (Nov. 25) afternoon following the conclusion of the regular season. All awards and All-Conference teams are voted on by the head coaches of the league.
Ohio Dominican had four All-Conference nods with one on First Team and another trio on Second Team.
The program has garnered 60 First Team All-Conference selections since 2017.
Jayden Cornell was the lone First Team honoree while Jace Schaefer, Andrew Schmitz and Bryce Washington were selected for the Second Team.
FIRST TEAM
- Jayden Cornell (WR)
- Caught a team-high 57 passes for 744 yards with five receiving touchdowns
- Ranked 1st in catches, receptions per game and yards per game, 2nd in receiving yards and tied for 5th in receiving touchdowns among the G-MAC
- His 66 passes was 9th most in a single season for ODU
- Surpassed 100 receiving yards in four games this year (Tiffin, Ashland, Findlay and Hillsdale)
- Had three games of at least ten catches (Findlay, Lake Erie and Hillsdale)
- Made 11 punt returns for 63 yards
- Second career All-Conference award (2024 Second Team)
SECOND TEAM
- Jace Schaefer (DL)
- Led the team with 65 tackles (42 solo/23 assisted), 11.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks
- Was tied for sixth in sacks and tenth in tackles for loss among the G-MAC defenders
- Notched two games of ten tackles (Walsh & Lake Erie)
- Tallied a pair of sacks in the Walsh and Lake Erie games - one of two Panthers with multiple two sack games this season
- First career All-Conference honor
- Andrew Schmitz (OL)
- Part of an offensive line that allowed the third fewest sacks (17) in the G-MAC
- First career All-Conference honor
- Bryce Washington (LB)
- 51 tackles (35 solo/16 assisted), 3.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery
- 13 tackle game at Walsh
- Had an interception in the Lake Erie game and recovered a fumble at Findlay this season
- First career All-Conference honor
