FULL NOTES IN PDF

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- After a strong September start the Ohio Dominican football team sets its eyes on Great Midwest Athletic Conference play, beginning Saturday, Oct. 2.

The Panthers will be on the road for the third consecutive week when they travel to face Kentucky Wesleyan at noon (CT), 1 p.m. (ET) on Saturday at Steele Stadium.

OPENING KICKOFF

  • Saturday will be the third of what is scheduled to be four straight games away from Panther Stadium for ODU.
  • The Black & Gold are currently 2-0 on the road stand and are coming off a 19-16, double overtime win at then No. 19 Indianapolis.
  • With the win, ODU handed UIndy back-to-back home losses, marking the first time since 2010 that the Greyhounds had lost consecutive games at home.
  • Desdamon Lake (Youngstown, Ohio) made a career-high 16 tackles en route to being named G-MAC Defensive Player of the Week. Lake now has the second most tackles for ODU this fall, 30, while also recording one interception, forced fumble and fumble recovery each.
  • After throwing for 276 yards against UIndy, Evan Ernst (Mason, Ohio) leads the G-MAC in passing yards with 1,073. Ernst is completing 63.5 percent of his passes and has seven touchdowns to just one interception.
  • Jed Quackenbush (Newark, Ohio) is averaging 52.3 yards per punt attempt, which leads all of Division II and ranks second across all four NCAA football divisions.
  • Dauson Dales (Defiance, Ohio) is coming off his second double-digit tackle performance of the fall as he leads ODU with 41 tackles. Dales, with 295 career stops, is five tackles shy of moving into first all-time at ODU and becoming the first Panther to 300 total tackles.
