HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – Ohio Dominican's softball team's offense scored 26 combined runs in the two games as they split on Sunday with a 20-11 loss to Georgia College and a 15-0 run rule win over Miles on the final day of the Charger Chillout.

In an offensive battle that saw 397 total pitches and lasted nearly three and a half hours, there were a combined 37 hits in game one.

Junior Cameron Barber (Powell, Ohio) led the offense in that game with three hits including her first home run of the season along with four runs batted in. Sophomore Kristin Bales (Pickerington, Ohio), along with juniors Taylor Farmer (Mt. Blanchard, Ohio), Landry Slider (Stow, Ohio) and Brooklyn Rayburn (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) all each had two hits in game one. The Panther offense ended up with 13 hits

GC held a 12-1 lead after three and a half innings and the ODU offense turned it on to score five in the bottom of the fourth and five in the bottom of the sixth. The Bobcats scored in every inning except the second has they had 24 hits.

In game two, the Panthers patience at the plate paid off as they walked 10 times in the second game.

Slider led the offense in game two with three hits and four RBI's while senior Maria Simmonds (Columbus, Ohio) and sophomore Carson Hackerd (Frankfort, Indiana) each had a hit and three RBI's.

ODU scored in each of the four innings they hit in with five runs in the first and eight in the third along with one apiece in the second and fourth.

The Panthers head to Harrogate, Tennessee next weekend as they play Mercyhurst and Lincoln Memorial on Saturday and Sunday, February 16 and 17.
