GRANVILLE, Ohio – With six players in the top 10, Ohio Dominican's men's golf team sits third after day one action at the Ted Barclay Invitational, hosted at the Denison Golf Club at Granville.
The Panthers shot a 302 as a team, trailing Ohio Wesleyan (297) and host Denison (301).
Competing as an individual, freshman Blake Saffell (Somerset, Ohio) shot a season-best 74 and is tied for second, three shots out of the tournament lead.
Senior Marshall Stretch (Liberty Township, Ohio) and junior Ryan Thompson (Dunfermline, Scotland) each shot rounds of 75 and are tied for seventh in the 50-man field. A trio of Panthers shot rounds of 76 and are tied for 10th place in senior Austin Goodridge (Lima, Ohio), sophomore Drew Wayman (Wapakoneta, Ohio) and senior Eric Thompson (Miamisburg, Ohio).
The tournament will conclude with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday.
