DATAW ISLAND, S.C. — Ohio Dominican senior Austin Goodridge (Lima, Ohio) placed eighth out of 85 competitors and junior Ryan Thompson (Dunfermline, Scotland) finished in a tie for ninth to lead ODU men's golf at the TaylorMade-adidas Intercollegiate at the Cotton Dike Course on Tuesday.
Goodridge finished with a three-round score of 227 (76-79-72) and ended +11 relative to par for the tournament. He finished in sixth in Par 4 scoring with an average mark of 4.17 strokes and ranked eighth in Par 5 scoring at 5.17. The eighth place finish marks the eighth time Goodridge has finished in the top 10 of a tournament in his Panther career.
Thompson finished in a tie for ninth with a three-round score of 228 (77-74-77), marking the first top 10 finish in his career. Thompson finished second in Par 4 scoring with an average of 4.03, and his second round score of 74 is a season low.
Junior Mark Creamer (Saratoga, California) placed in a tie for 36th overall with a 243 (75-87-81), and his first round score of 75 was a team-low first round score.
As a team, Ohio Dominican finished ninth with a three-round, total score of 979 (317-334-328).
The Panthers will continue their spring season on Saturday, March 18 and Sunday, March 19 when they travel to the Cherry Blossom Golf Club in Georgetown, Kentucky to compete in the SVSU Spring Invite.
