DATAW ISLAND, S.C. — Ohio Dominican junior Ryan Thompson (Dunerfermline, Scotland) recorded a two-round score of 151 (77-74) to rank in a tie for 11th out of 86 competitors and lead ODU's men's golf team through day one competition at the TaylorMade-adidas Intercollegiate at the Cotton Dike Course on Monday.
Thompson finished with four birdies in the first round to shoot a 77 and recorded two birdies and 14 pars in the second round en route to a season-low round of 74. Both of Thompson's day one rounds bested his 2016-17 average round score of 78.4.
Senior Austin Goodridge (Lima, Ohio) also is positioned in the top 25 through day one of the tournament. Goodrige currently sits in a tie for 22nd with a total score of 150 (76-74), and is +10 thus far for the tournament. Both rounds for Goodridge best his season average of 77.2.
The Panthers will wrap up competition in the TaylorMade-adidas Intercollegiate tomorrow with 18 holes of play beginning with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
