Box Score

SAGINAW, Mich. — Ohio Dominican's men's soccer team dropped its first match in 15 days and its first GLIAC contest of the season on Friday afternoon, falling 5-1 at Saginaw Valley State.

The Cardinals (3-2, 1-1 GLIAC) outshot the Panthers (2-2, 2-1 GLIAC) 18-8 and held a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal. Ohio Dominican held a slight 3-2 edge in corner kicks over SVSU.

ODU was led by senior Tanner Ebright (Pickerington, Ohio), who finished with his first goal of the season, converting one of his two shot attempts in the match into a goal.

Ohio Dominiccan trailed 3-0 in the second period when Ebright scored at the 52:25 mark to give the Panthers new life and bring the deficit to 3-1. But Saginaw Valley responded, scoring in the 73rd and 90th minutes to increase the lead to a game-decisive, 5-1 advantage.

ODU will look to get back in the win column as it continues its weekend road trip, taking on No. 11 Northwood (3-1, 2-1 GLIAC) this Sunday at 12 p.m.
