Box Score 2 UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Senior Austin Greene (Dublin, Ohio) clubbed his first career home run as Ohio Dominican's baseball team fell 5-3 and 12-5 at Saginaw Valley to conclude its season on Sunday.
Greene hit a three-run homer in the second game, but ODU fell behind 7-0 after two innings and was outhit 21-8 in the contest.
In the opener, ODU scored in the second inning to take a 1-0 lead on a triple to left center by junior Kyle Burson (Brunswick, Ohio), scoring classmate Tony Evans (Medway, Ohio).
The Cardinals scored the next five runs to lead 5-1 entering the seventh. Burson knocked in a run on a grounder and freshman Noah Bland (Oberlin, Ohio) had an RBI single up the middle to bring ODU to within 5-3, but the rally ended there.
Burson had three hits in the doubleheader to lead the offense.
Ohio Dominican finished its season with a record of 19-30-1.
