Box Score 2 COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's baseball team fell in both ends of a doubleheader to Wayne State on Saturday by scores of 8-3 and 17-9.
The Panthers trailed by scores of 2-1 and 4-2 in the opener before Wayne State broke free with a four-run seventh inning. The Warriors kept their momentum going in game two as they jumped to a 13-0 lead through six innings.
In the opener, freshman Colin Kaucher (Toledo, Ohio) had two hits and junior Tony Evans (Medway, Ohio) drew three walks to lead the Panthers.
In game two, senior Jacob Horsley (Thornville, Ohio) and junior Kyle Burson (Brunswick, Ohio) each had a pair of hits to pace the Panthers, while sophomore Lee Sponseller (Mason, Ohio) drew a pair of walks.
Ohio Dominican and Wayne State conclude their four game series with a doubleheader Sunday starting at noon.
