Box Score WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Ohio Dominican's baseball team started its season on a high note as sophomore Tony Evans (Medway, Ohio) delivered a walkoff single as ODU rallied in the ninth to defeat Cornerstone 4-3 in its first game at the Russ Matt Central Florida Invitational.
Trailing 3-2 entering the ninth, freshman Justin Childers (Pickerington, Ohio) singled with one out. Sophomore Kyle Burson (Brunswick, Ohio) followed with a two out single, and freshman Jacob Tisevich (North Canton, Ohio) singled through the right side to score Childers and tie the game.
Evans then followed with his base hit through the left side, plating Burson with the winning run.
