Box Score URBANA, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team improved their record to 9-4-1 after a 2-1 victory over Urbana University in a nonconference game in Urbana, Ohio.
The win marks the third straight win for the Panthers and improves their road record to 6-2.
In the first half, the ODU offense managed an 11-4 advantage in shots but could not connect as the half closed knotted at 0-0.
Following the break, the Blue Knights Carl Peers broke the tie at the 49:37 mark after Joe Carter sent a pass into the box.
However, in the 62nd minute, freshman Brent Wahle (Pataskala, Ohio) sent a pass through the defense to the 15 yard line to senior Tyler Huerkamp (Loveland, Ohio) for his second goal of the season to tie the score at 1-1
Just a little over two minutes later, Wahle this time connected from senior Chad Hirsch (Worthington, Ohio) and senior Casey Weddle (Cincinnati, Ohio) for his third goal of the season.
Freshman keeper Macklin Robinson (Cincinnati, Ohio) recorded 13 saves and improves his record to 5-2-1.
The Panthers resume action this Friday, Oct. 21 for a 4 pm conference match against Lake Erie on Panther Field.
